A. No. When the repairs to the bridges on Dubuque Road are completed, the signal lights at Dubuque and Evans roads will remain and resume normal functions, said Evansdale Mayor Doug Faas.

A. Idaho Street from Dubuque Road north to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive is in the city's five-year street repair program to receive an overlay in 2018. That is subject to change annually following a review by engineers and City Council approval. The Street Department handles pothole patching on a regular basis.
Q. Is it lawful to park a semi cab across a lawn, street or driveway in Waterloo? Is there a code on this?
A. It is legal to park a semi cab in a driveway and on the street in a non-residential area. Semi-tractor trailer trucks are not allowed to park on the street in a residential area, except for deliveries, or on a lawn.
Q. With the city moving the American Legion to the other side of town, why aren't they required to have parking? Won't they be taking away the parking from the people that have businesses there?
A. The downtown C-3 zoning district does not have parking requirements. Downtown business districts typically rely on public ramps, meters and parking lots to serve businesses and destinations.
Q. Are there ash trees in Lincoln Park? If so, have they been treated for the emerald ash borer disease?
A. There is one small ash tree in Lincoln Park, said Waterloo City Forester Todd Derifield. It has not been treated for EAB.
Q. Who is responsible for trimming or removing the trees on the bridge on Texas Street between the address of 4859 and 4614 Texas Street?
A. The city of Waterloo would be responsible for that and did trim and remove trees that were encroaching the roadway at that bridge during the week of Aug. 2.
