When someone you love is facing a serious illness, it can feel like your world has been turned upside down. Questions come quickly. What kind of support is available? How do we make the best decisions for our loved one?
Cedar Valley Hospice believes hospice care is more about than medical care. It is about caring for the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of every patient while supporting those who love them.
When you choose Cedar Valley Hospice, your family receives an experienced team includes physicians, nurses, aides, social workers, spiritual care counselors, grief counselors, volunteers and others who work together to provide personalized care that honors each person's wishes and goals.
Whether care is provided in a patient's home, a nursing facility, assisted living, hospital or at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, the goal remains the same — to provide comfort, dignity, and compassionate support every step of the way.
Support Beyond Hospice Care
Cedar Valley Hospice’s commitment to caring for our community extends well beyond traditional hospice services.
Through LINK Palliative Care, individuals living with a serious illness can receive symptom management, care coordination and additional support while continuing curative treatment. GUIDE Dementia Care offers specialized education, resources and ongoing support for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.
Additionally, the Cedar AIDS Support System (CASS), provides compassionate case management and support services for people living with HIV throughout northeast Iowa.
Helping Families Through Grief
Compassionate care does not end after the death of a loved one.
Grief is a journey that looks different for everyone, which is why Cedar Valley Hospice offers grief support services for hospice families and anyone in our community who is grieving. From support groups and educational programs to children's grief camp and individual resources, care is provided in ways that will most benefit the individual receiving it.
Experience Families Can Trust
For close to 50 years, families throughout northeast Iowa have placed their trust in Cedar Valley Hospice. Choosing hospice care can feel overwhelming, and many families wonder if it is too early, too late or whether hospice is the right choice. Cedar Valley Hospice answers questions, explains options and helps families understand the benefits of receiving care sooner rather than later.
Hospice is not about giving up. It is about living as fully and comfortably as possible while receiving expert care and support.
