Iowa State freshman standout Kanen Storr has asked for and been granted a release from his Cyclone wrestling scholarship.

Storr, a native of Leslie, Mich., was 15-7 and ranked 14th this season after going 25-5 a year ago as a redshirt. He will not compete for Iowa State anymore this season.

“Kanen requested permission to transfer to another institution,” said Iowa State head coach Kevin Dresser. “I am going to honor that request and allow him the one-time transfer exception.”
