Suspended Seattle minor league OF Eric Filia (Arkansas-Texas) 50 games following a second positive test for a drug of abuse. Suspended Chicago Cubs minor league RHP Wilfre Delgado (DSL Cubs) 72 games for a positive test of Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance. Suspended minor league free agent RHP Joel Romero 80 games after testing positive for Stanozolol.

NBA — Fined Utah G Rodney Hood $35,000 for slapping a phone out of a fan's hand while exiting the court during a Jan. 10 game at Washington.

UCONN — Named John Dunn offensive coordinator. Announced women's freshman basketball G Andra Espinoza-Hunter will transfer.
