WATERLOO — Three Waterloo Black Hawks have been named to the United States Hockey League’s all-USHL first and second teams, the league announced on Tuesday.

Forward Jackson Cates and defenseman Ben Finkelstein were named to the first team, while Jack Drury was named to the second team in addition to being selected as a member of the league’s all-Academic team.

Monday, Cates and Finkelstein were named the league’s forward and defenseman of the year, respectively.

Cates is committed to Minnesota-Duluth and led Waterloo with 33 goals and finished with 66 points. Finkelstein didn’t make his USHL debut until Jan. 19, and his impact was immense as he registered 34 points in just 23 games.

Drury, Waterloo’s captain, amassed the longest-point streak in the USHL this season from Nov. 22 to Feb. 16 where he registered at least one point in 23 consecutive games. The Harvard commit finished tied for fourth in the league in scoring with 65 points.
