Waterloo Soccer earned a pair of big honors Monday as the Mississippi Valley Conference announced its all-MVC girls’ soccer team.

Waterloo first-year head coach Chris Worthley and his staff were named Coach of the Year in the Mississippi Division, while goalkeeper Izzy Guyer, a junior, was named the Keeper of the Year for the second consecutive year.

Waterloo Soccer posted its first winning season with a 9-8 mark while advancing to the regional finals.

Additionally, senior Jordan Trost, sophomore Erin Rankin and freshman Faith Trelka were named to the first team.

Sophomore Lexi Imbouathong, junior Mackenzie McCoy and senior Mallory Smith were second-team picks.

In the Valley Division, Cedar Falls seniors Meg Kuntz and Taya Love were first team selections, while seniors Madison Bower and Julia Hetherton were named to the second team.
