CEDAR FALLS -- Joe Dean medaled with a 35 and the Cedar Falls boy's golf team took first in a home quadrangle match Thursday.
Led by Dean, who was two strokes ahead of the rest of the field, the Tigers finished with a score of 153, 10 shots better than runner-up Cedar Rapids Washington.
Ben Bermel also grabbed a top-five finish, shooting a 38. Luke Meyer and Trevor Heineu rounded out the scoring, each shooting a 40.
Brandon Conrad and Caleb Burjes each earned top-10 finishes and Cedar Falls took fourth in the 10-team Ames Invitational.
Conrad placed fourth in 16:45, while Burjes placed sixth in 16:54, as the Tigers finished with a score of 103.
With five runners in the top-15, Waukee won easily with 51, while Camden Cox of Ankeny Centennial won the race in 16:34.
Waterloo West placed 10th with a score of 283. East had two runners compete but didn't record a score.
DECORAH 137, WATERLOO 42: Decorah won all but won event in a decisive victory over Waterloo Thursday.
Waterloo's lone first-place finish came in the 200 individual medley, where freshman Carley Caughron took first in 2:21.41.
