WEST 57, FORT DODGE 55: Zia Collett sank a 12-foot, running jump shot at the buzzer to give Waterloo West a 57-55 girls’ basketball win over Fort Dodge Saturday night.

The Wahawks jumped to an early 15-5 lead in the opening quarter, but the Dodgers outscored West 23-12 in the third and eventually took a 53-49 lead with less than two minutes to go.

The Dodgers (4-15) missed a shot with 10 seconds remaining and West grabbed the rebound. After calling a timeout with five seconds to go, Collet hit the game-winner as time expired to allow West to even its record at 10-10.
