TERRE HAUTE, Ind. | Madison Weekly hit a layup with 8.4 seconds remaining and the University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team made it stand up for a 57-55 Missouri Valley Conference road win at Indiana State Sunday.

The Panthers (10-8 overall, 6-1 MVC) took a 32-22 lead into halftime, holding the Sycamores to 28.6 percent shooting from the field. Indiana State heated up in the second half and the game went back and forth down the stretch before Weekly settled it.

UNI was led by senior Brooke Brown, who scored a season-high 17 points and hit 4 of 5 shots from 3-point range to reach 100 career 3-pointers. Weekly added 12 points.

Indiana State (13-6, 3-5) held a 26-14 edge in points in the paint, a 14-12 advantage in points off turnovers, a 25-14 cushion in bench scoring and outrebounded the Panthers 41-36.
