TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Northern Iowa suffered a pair of run rule losses to Georgia State and Alabama Saturday as the Panthers fell to 0-4 at the challenging Easton Bama Bash softball tournament.

UNI (9-6) jumped in front of Georgia State 1-0 in the first inning of the opening game on Courtney Krodinger’s RBI double, but Georgia State’s Panthers (7-7) scored in four of the next five innings to break the game open and end it after six innings, 9-1.

UNI also grabbed a first-inning lead against Alabama, 2-0, but the Crimson Tide scored in the final five innings to end it after six, 11-1.

The Panthers wrap up play in the tournament Sunday at 11 a.m. against Florida State.
