A. The Waterloo Engineering Department, 291-4312, employs several draftspersons.

Q. Tyson is adding more manufacturing facilities. Will this put an extra burden on Waterloo’s sewer system?

A. The city and Tyson Fresh Meats Inc. have not had discussion about how much increased processing activity would occur and how it would affect the city's waste water treatment facilities. Waste Management Services Director Steve Hoambrecker said the city's anaerobic lagoon pre-treatment facility is expected to have enough capacity to treat some level of additional waste.

Q. Is at-large councilmen Steve Schmitt affiliated any way with Mediacom?

A. Schmitt is not personally affiliated with Mediacom. He noted his employer, Advanced Systems, has an agreement occasionally to market products from CenturyLink, Windstream, AT&T, Mediacom and other providers of voice and data services.

Q. How do I contact the person who takes care of Midway Car Wash on University to let them know they are out of soap? I tried the number listed at the business and it says it is out of order when I tried calling it.

A. We could find no active phone number for the business itself. There is no phone number posted on the premises that we could see. You could try mailing the business at the same address listed for its property tax bill: JC Enterprises Inc.; 6737 Maxfield Road, Cedar Falls, IA 50613.

Q. What kind of meat are hot dogs made out of?

A. Check the package; it should tell you. Usually it's either beef or pork, although you can find them made with other meats as well.

Q. Who was the Cedar Falls homecoming king and queen this year? Were the winners reported in the paper?

A. The king and queen were Joel Ochoa and Grace Burken. We ran a photo of the whole homecoming court in the Sept. 29 paper.

Q. What was the reason Jedediah Bila is leaving “The View?"

A. She didn't give one when she left  --  she just thanked viewers and her co-hosts and asked people to look out for a book she plans to write.

Q. There is a Dana Jacobson who works for CBS. I think she's from Des Moines. What is her background?

A. Jacobson was born in Michigan, graduated from Valley High in West Des Moines and then from the University of Michigan with a degree in English and communications. She worked as a sports reporter and anchor in California and for ESPN before joining CBS.

A. The CEO is Anthony Romero, and head of the board is Susan Herman.

A. We didn't find official information from the show, but in interviews with past winners, they have said the trips are for two people.
