A: Evigan is a musician and composer, and he did sing the theme song. He’s still a working actor. He’s done a few TV movies in the last few years, and he’s on “General Hospital” these days.

A: According to the mall, one complete lap around the inside of the mall equals 5/8 of a mile. One complete lap around the outside of the mall equals 7/8 of a mile.
Q: Is it true a vehicle recently fell through the ice at Big Woods Lake? If so, was anyone hurt?
A: Black Hawk County Conservation Board officials noted a four-wheel ATV did go through the ice at Big Woods Lake. It was retrieved from the lake in a timely manner and no one was hurt.
Q: There is a storage unit two miles north of La Porte City on Highway 218 owed by Jeff Rottinghaus that has applied for an outside storage permit. A few years ago he was turned down for the permit. What has changed that would allow them to issue it now?
A: Black Hawk County zoning ordinances allow someone who has had a request turned down to reapply after a six-month period. Nothing has to change, and the applicant has to pay the application fee again. The matter will go to a public hearing before both the Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Supervisors.
