A: It’s an AAU basketball program established in 2005 that offers high-level competition for both boys and girls in multiple age groups.

A: Forever, in most cases. According to Iowa Legal Aid, most criminal records cannot be removed from a person’s Iowa criminal history. The law does say that in cases resulting in a dismissal, acquittal or deferred judgment, the court can enter an order expunging the record of the case from the public record if a request is filed. The information may still be available to the courts and law enforcement.

A: Yes, it has.

Q: When Bill Clinton was impeached, why didn’t he have to leave office? Why was he allowed to finish his second term?

A: An inpeachment is when a president faces accusations of wrongdoing, voted on by the House of Representatives. The U.S. Senate then holds an impeachment trial. Clinton was acquitted in that trial. Only presidents found guilty are removed from office.

Q: Why wasn’t Scott Hamilton an announcer at the Winter Olympics?

A: NBC chose Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir as announcers this year. Hamilton did appear on “Olympic Ice” on the secondary NBC Sports Network. He handled the change with real grace. According to a New York Times interview, “’Johnny and Tara were just this phenomenon, and no one was going to stop them,’ Hamilton said of Lipinski and Weir’s breakout performance during the 2014 Sochi Games. ‘The worst thing I can do is have an ego in all this because it’s not about me. They were such a breath of fresh air.’”
