There was a problem reporting this.
They are doing this in Rochester, Minnesota as well. Today the City had to close at least one pool because of uncivilized behavior. Fighting, screaming, refusal to pay admission, fence jumping. Sad.
Just really bad behavior
This story is sad to see, and this sort of behavior is just not OK to happen near a family oriented activity center.
But... what is the reason for calling out the skin color of people in the photos?
"One photo shows about a half-dozen Black people near a car, and the other shows a police squad car and at least two members of law enforcement speaking with a group of mostly Black people in the parking lot."
There is nothing added to this news story by specifying the skin color of these people except inciting racist thoughts in its readers. Is there something I'm missing as to why this detail is included? I'll be honest, I'm appalled at this. I was hoping we were better than this.
So showing evidence that it's only one group doing this is "racist". Got it. That card is getting weaker by the day.
I thought the same. Skin color isn't important, it's the fact fighting broke out at a family centered & fun place. It's sad that the Courier chose to make color a sign or symbol of guilt.
Drive around CF sometime. People are openly flying racist flags and signs in yards. I'm not going to be shocked if it turns out some racist was telling them that black lives don't matter, careers choice is as important as race, or accusing them of being 'antifa', as if opposing fascists was a bad thing.
CF has a huge racism problem, and we all know it and see it, even if you don't admit it.
Exactly. When is the last time the color of White person's skin was called out in a story like this?
