  • Black Hawk, Buchanan and Floyd counties each added one death Friday.
  • Twenty-three new outbreaks at long-term care facilities were added Friday, with 4,285 people currently sick with COVID-19, or 4.9% of Iowa's 86,616 current cases. La Porte City Specialty Care and Pinnacle Specialty Care were both added Friday in Black Hawk County; it is Pinnacle's third time in outbreak status. Hillcrest Living in Sumner was also added, along with 11th Street Chautauqua in Charles City.
