Pakistani pastor

speaks Tuesday

WATERLOO — Cedar Valley Patriots for Christ will host the Rev. Oliver Zia, an evangelist from Pakistan, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Waterloo Center for the Arts.

Zia will talk about his ministry in very hostile environments.

The event is free of charge and an offering for Zia’s ministry will be taken at the end of the meeting.

advocates meet

WATERLOO — The public is invited to attend an advocate for public education meeting Tuesday at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, 225 Commercial St. It starts at 6 p.m. in the Peterson Town Hall room.

Members from Parents for Great Iowa Schools will share information about what is happening in the Capitol and provide ideas about what citizens can do to ensure their voices are heard.
