CEDAR FALLS — The Cedar Falls Community Theatre is announcing the cast of five of women, including Annabeth Gish, for a girls night out staged reading of the comedy “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” by Delia Ephron and Nora Ephron.
The show will start at 7 p.m. March 24 at the Oster Regent Theatre, 103 Main St., part of the CFCT 40th anniversary campaign.
Nora Ephron was a writer, director and producer best known for writing the screenplays of romantic comedy films. She sometimes co-authored screenplays with her sister, writer-producer Delia Ephron.
The show is a story about matters of the heart and matters of the closet, including monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and memory — mothers, prom dresses, buying bras, first date outfits, lucky underwear, prom dresses, favorite boots, and why some women only wear black.
Gish, a Cedar Falls native, will return from Los Angeles and leads a cast that includes Stephanie Althof, Lisa Brooks, Jean Carlisle and Kristin Teig Torres.
William G. Dawson is directing this show.
Donors above a certain level receive free priority seating tickets and invitation to a reception with Gish and the cast. Call 277-5283 for more information.
Remaining tickets are $20 each; all seating is general admission. The box office is open starting today at 1 p.m. and thereafter from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and for an hour before the show.
