CEDAR FALLS — Plans to install a portable classroom building at the high school will come before the Board of Education on Monday.
The board meets at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall, 220 Clay St.
Currently located at Southdale Elementary School, the portable will be relocated to ease space constraints at the high school.
Cedar Falls Community Schools’ officials expect the total project to cost $175,000 to $190,000, depending on where the bids come in. Most of the costs would be for preparing the site at the high school, building a foundation and other expenses related to installing the portable. An estimated $23,000 of the total would be for moving the building to the high school.
