WATERLOO | Two people were critically injured in a motorcycle crash late Thursday in Waterloo.
Police said Kari Scribner, 54, a passenger on the motorcycle driven by Michael John Kielty, was unconscious at the scene of the crash and did not have identification on her. Investigators used fingerprints to determine her identity later in the day.
Scribner was flown to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City for treatment.

Kielty, 54, who also was unconscious and had head injuries, also was flown to the Iowa City hospital.
The crash happened about 10:25 p.m. at the intersection of West First and Locust streets when the motorcycle collided with two parked vehicles.
According to the accident report, officers and physicians noticed an odor of alcohol on Kielty, and a blood sample was taken for testing. Officers also found a 40-ounce Bud Ice beer bottle near the motorcycle at the scene of the crash.

Thanks for posting names, the whole family doesn't know about the accident yet
The police don't usually release the names till all family is notified. The courier usually waits till the police give them the names.
People always clutch their pearls and drop their monocles when the press reports the news with names. Ignore them.
Well, obviously they needed help with the identity of the other victim....
Looks like a single seat on that bike. Was the woman riding on the rear fender or in front of him? Or was she walking down the street? Really not much info here given here on how this happened.
