WATERLOO – A Waterloo teen was taken to an Iowa City hospital for treatment after he was stabbed in a fight Wednesday night.
The altercation happened at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday outside in the 1100 block of Washington Street, said Maj. Joe Leibold with the Waterloo Police Department. The 14-year-old male suffered a stab wound to the side and was taken to Covenant Medical Center by private vehicle, he said.
The teen was later transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, and police said he is expected to recover.
No arrests have been made in connection with the attack.
The incident remains under investigation.
