WATERLOO – One person is in custody following an early morning car chase in Waterloo.

Waterloo police arrested Reuben Z. Crawford, 31, of 165 Lehman Circle, for misdemeanor eluding and driving while suspended after officers used Stop Sticks on his vehicle.

According to police, officers spotted a white Buick running a red light at Franklin and Nevada streets around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday. The driver refused to pull over, and the pursuit lasted for several miles over the course of more than 20 minutes with the fleeing driver going about 90 mph in a 55-mph zone at one time.
