Charles Daniel Allen III, Kamarius Jawon Jenkins, Elijah Anthony Lewis

WATERLOO – A third person has been arrested in connection with the Monday morning holdup at a Waterloo convenience store.

Waterloo police arrested Elijah Anthony Lewis, 16, early Tuesday for second-degree robbery. He is being charged as an adult.

Police said Lewis, Charles Daniel Allen III, 18, and Kamarius Jawon Jenkins, 18, were behind the 2:30 a.m. Monday robbery at Kwik Star, 1105 Cedar Bend St. Jenkins and Allen were arrested on Monday.

No weapon was shown, and no injuries were reported in the crime. Court records allege Allen acted as a lookout.

Lewis was detained following a disturbance at the 24-hour Walmart on Flammang Drive. Employees had removed a group of youths around 1 a.m. Tuesday because they were riding around the store in motorized shopping carts, and after they left the parking lot, one of them pointed something that a security guard thought was a gun.

Police were called and stopped their vehicle at West Ninth and Washington streets but didn’t find a firearm. Lewis was found inside the vehicle and arrested, according to police. Police said the vehicle matched one seen in the area of the Kwik Star robbery on Monday.
