Reward offered in Cedar Falls shooting death case

CEDAR FALLS | A cash reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the fatal Cedar Falls shooting of Normal Carroll Gant Jr. early June 1.

Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers announced the reward in connection with Gant's shooting in the 1800 block of Tremont St.

Police responded to a report of shots fired there and found Gant shot. He was transported to a hospital where he later died of his injuries.

 If anyone was present when Gant was shot or has information on Gant’s death they are asked to call the Cedar Falls Police Department at 273-8612 or Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers, 855-300-TIPS (8477).

Anyone with information leading to an arrest is eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
