OELWEIN – Authorities recovered a trove of stolen property after searching an Oelwein home in connection with a rural burglary earlier this week.
Some $1,500 worth of items was taken during a break-in to a property at 45th Street in rural Oelwein on Monday.
Fayette County sheriff’s deputies received a Facebook tip and collected other evidence that led them to a house at 127 Second St. SE on Wednesday, where police found the stolen items.
Roger Dean Hall II, 30, of Oelwein, is charged with third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tool and driving while barred, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Oelwein police assisted with the case.
