Cedar Rapids teen arrested in Waterloo gun, drug case

WATERLOO | Police arrested a Cedar Rapids man in connection with a stolen pistol and drugs found earlier this month.

Members of the Waterloo Police Department’s Violent Crime Apprehension Team stopped 18-year-old Queshandis Ramon Seals of Cedar Rapids after noticing suspicious activity in the area of West Fourth and Locust streets around midnight July 4.

Officers found a .22-caliber handgun that had been taken during a Waterloo burglary as well as marijuana on Seals. He was released pending further investigation, and authorities obtained a warrant for him July 7.

On July 13, Cedar Rapids police arrested Seals for trafficking stolen weapons, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, carry weapons and fourth-degree possession of stolen property. Seals is being held in the Linn County Jail in Cedar Rapids.
