CEDAR FALLS – A Cedar Falls teen has been arrested in a series of gas drove-offs going back almost two weeks.

In fact, when police staked out Jalen Malik Seals’ West First Street home on Wednesday to confront him about five gas thefts at the Music Station, Seals pulled up in his driveway and admitted he just returned from his sixth gas drive-off at the store, according to court records.

Seals, 18, was arrested for six counts of misdemeanor fifth-degree theft. He was released on a promise to appear in court.

Authorities allege that beginning on July 2, Seals would pull up to the Music Station pumps in 2005 Dodge Stratus, pump about $25 worth of gas and then drive away without paying.
