CEDAR FALLS – A Cedar Falls man has been arrested in connection with a Tuesday morning chase with a stolen truck that ended in a farm field.

Jesse Andrew Hall, 20, of 4749 Loren Drive, was arrested for second-degree theft, felony eluding, carrying weapons and possession of amphetamines. He was also arrested for driving while revoked.

A passenger, 19-year-old Chloe Adams of Waterloo, was arrested for interference.

A Black Hawk County sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a Dodge Ram pickup in the area of Hudson and Erik roads at about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday. The driver didn’t pull over, and the resulting chance lasted about 20 minutes and reached speeds of 100 mph in a 45-mph zone with officers from Hudson and the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office assisting.

It ended in a field near the intersection of T Avenue and H Avenue in rural Grundy County. Hall attempted to run from the scene but was detained a short time later.

Authorities determined the vehicle had been stolen from a rural Cedar Falls address on Thursday. They also found a loaded .22-caliber Remington Model 597 rifle in the vehicle.
