WATERLOO -- The Cedar Valley Woodworkers will meet Tuesday at the Waterloo Center for the Arts.
A business meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., the program speaker is Hugh Weidemann on furniture stripping and restoration. He will talk about high quality furniture restoration, refinishing and custom upholstering.
Guests and woodworkers at any skill level are welcome. The Cedar Valley Woodworkers' mission is to assist woodworkers to improve their projects.

CEDAR FALLS — The Cedar Falls Kiwanis Rough Risers will meet at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Clarion Inn for "Innovation in the Cedar Valley."
Mark Kittrell, a longtime entrepreneur in the Cedar Valley, will share the many projects that he and other are innovators are working on.

CEDAR FALLS -- The next meeting of the Prairie Rapids Audubon Society will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Ninth and Main streets.
Bruce and Marlene Ehresman, appropriately known as Mr. and Mrs. Iowa Wildlife, will present "Iowa's Nesting Owls & Barn Owl Restoration in Iowa." They will discuss the status of Iowa's seven nesting owl species, then provide information on the life history of barn owls and how people can do their part to help this species recover and be removed from Iowa's Endangered Species list.

The $5 meal Tuesday includes chicken a la king, mashed potatoes, corn in butter sauce, homemade biscuits and dessert. Serving will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday patrons can enjoy free pool. Thursday bingo and snacks will be 5 to 7 p.m.
On Friday hot ham and cheese sandwiches with chips will be served for $3. Casey's Music to Go will provide karaoke 8 p.m. to 12 p.m.

A Sunday pepper tournament runs from 2 to 4 p.m.

WATERLOO -- The Proud Image Chorus, an a cappella, nonprofit barbershop group from the Cedar Valley, is taking reservations for the annual Singing Valentine event.
Quartets from the chorus with Adam Campbell, Eric Boyd, Denny Ernster and Tom Peterson will be available to deliver a rose, candy and sing a song to a special someone.
