WATERLOO — The Cedar Valley Woodworkers will meet Tuesday at the Waterloo Center for the Arts.

The business meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m. the featured speaker will talk about constructing bamboo fly rods.

WATERLOO — The Waterloo Noon Kiwanis Club will meet at noon Tuesday at the Waterloo Elks Lodge.

This week’s program has Grant Veeder giving an overview on the new election and voting rules.

Legion post

plans events

WATERLOO — American Legion Post 138 at 728 Commercial St. has several events planned.

Today the kitchen is open starting at 11 a.m., and on Tuesday, bingo is planned for at 6:15 and 7 p.m. Hot dogs, chicken patties and brats are planned at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The kitchen will be open 11 a.m. Friday, and a fish fry is set for 5 to 8 p.m.

A pepper tournament will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Ancient Order of the Hibernians will host a mulligan stew meal at 11 a.m, with a sing-along at 1 p.m. All are welcome.

Bingo is planned for 1:15 and 2 p.m. Sunday, with kitchen open.

Lions breakfast

NEW HARTFORD — The New Hartford Lions will have an omelet and all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the New Hartford Community Building.

Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12.

Lenten fish fry

planned Friday

WAVERLY — The Knights of Columbus will host a Lenten fish fry from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Church, 2700 Horton Road.

The menu includes fish (fried and baked), coleslaw, mac and cheese, French fries and dessert. Cost is $8 for adults, $6 for college students, $5 for kids age 6-12, and 5 and under is free.

Everyone is welcome.

Breakfast will

benefit St. Joe’s

GILBERTVILLE — St. Mary’s Court 1099 of the Catholic Order of Foresters will sponsor a matching fund breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at St. Mary Center

Sausage, eggs, hash browns, cinnamon rolls, coffee, orange juice and milk will be served.

The breakfast is open to the public. Donations are encouraged, and there also will be raffles. The money raised this year will go for building improvements at St. Joseph School in Raymond.

Moose Lodge

WASHBURN — The Moose Lodge is serving all-you-can eat fish from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, with karaoke from 7 to 11 p.m.

Corned beef and cabbage will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

On Sunday, an omelet and waffle breakfast is set for 9 a.m. to noon.

Tacos are on the menu from 5 to 7 p.m. March 20, with a ham dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 21 and hamburger steak and potatoes March 22.
