meet June 12
CEDAR FALLS — The Cedar Valley Antique Automobile Club of America will meet at 5 p.m. June 12.
The meeting will be a car tour to the truck stop, The Mill, located at the corner of Highway 20 and 14. All members and car buffs are welcome to attend.
The next regular meeting will be at 7 p.m. July 12 at Mallard Point Retirement Residence , 2603 Orchard Drive.

WATERLOO — The Waterloo Community Playhouse will continue its tradition of opening one of its rehearsals for the public to watch.
Rehearsals are currently underway for the musical “Grease,” which will run July 13-22. But the rehearsal planned for June 11 is open to anyone who is interested in stopping by and watching the actors at work.
Director Greg Holt will explain some of the rehearsal process, share design ideas and answer questions about the production.
The open rehearsal will be at the WCP Walker Building, 224 Commercial St., from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Stamp club will
meet June 13
CEDAR FALLS — The next Cedar Valley Stamp Club meeting will be at 7 p.m. June 13 at the Cedar Falls Community Center, 528 Main St., next to the Cedar Falls library.
There will be a club auction of collectable stamps.
The meeting is open to visitors.
Hy-Vee to host
CEDAR FALLS — The Bill Riley Talent Search and state wide presenting sponsor Hy-Vee will host a local show at 6:30 p.m. June 22 at the Overman Park Band Shell as part of the Sturgis Falls Celebration.
The show is open to the public.
Young performers may register to compete in the Sprout Division (ages 2-12) and Senior Division (ages 13-21) by completing the registration form at http://www.sturgisfalls.org/Talent-Competition.
The winning act from each division will qualify to compete at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines in August.
