Inside Shonda Rhimes’ estate — Television producer Shonda Rhimes is asking about $10 million for her Traditional-style home of about six years in Hancock Park. The updated 1920s home, which sits on a corner lot in the historic neighborhood, has mature trees, a swimming pool and a pool house.
The nearly 8,300-square-foot house sits up from the street on a half-acre lot and features hedges and mature sycamore and elm trees off the front. Beyond the formal entry, the main house includes scaled formal rooms, a library and chef’s kitchen that opens to the den. Outside, there’s a swimming pool, lawn and a detached pool cabana. The home’s square footage includes the cabana.

Dating to the 1920s, the Mediterranean Revival-style home boasts 19 bedrooms, 29 bathrooms and period furnishings in nearly every room. The property is also something of a pop culture item having been used in the filming of the "The Godfather" and "The Bodyguard."

Eddie Murphy mansion — The modern Granite Bay mansion that Eddie Murphy owned a decade ago is going up for auction towards the end of October. Murphy and his ex-wife, Nichole Mitchell Murphy, sold the estate in 2007 for $6.1 million. In recent years, the property has been on and off the market and was most recently listed for $10 million.
