WATERLOO — Shavondes Shaves “BUNZ” Martin, 22, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 31, the result of a homicide.
He was born Jan. 5 1996, in Greenwood, Miss., to Diane Martin and Little John Archer Shavondes.
He worked at Tyson Foods in Waterloo.

Survived by: his mother of Waterloo; his father of Mississippi; six brothers, DeAndre Smith of Waterloo, Carderrius Smith of Minnesota, Damian McClinton of Tennessee, Jo Nathan Davis, Johnquentis Archer and Carlon Archer, all of Mississippi; five sisters, La-Tonya Edwards, LaTasha Edwards, LaToya Edwards, LaTayla Edwards and Tyra Jernigan, all of Mississippi; his maternal grandmother, Frankie Mae Martin of Morgan City, Miss.; his maternal grandfather, Arthur (Josephine) Johnson of Itta Bena, Miss.; five aunts, Angela (Mark) Dixon, Mary Archer, Gloria Archer, Johnnie Mae Archer, all of Mississippi, and Janet Johnson of Memphis, Tenn.; five uncles, Michael (Janet) Martin of Waterloo, Richard Martin, Big John Archer, Ricky, and Willie Earl Archer, all of Mississippi; eight great-aunts; four great-uncles; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special cousin, Tatanisha (TaTa) Hunt of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, John and Bertha Archer; his maternal great-grandparents, Frank and Alberta Martin, Harvey and Mattie Johnson; his aunt, Aria “Sis” Martin; two uncles, Elbert “Bull” Martin and Andrew Martin; and three cousins.
Services: 5 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Payne AME Church, with visitation one hour before services at the church. Sanders Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials: may be directed to the family at 84 Ricker St., where they will be receiving friends.
