WATERLOO — JoAnn Delores Havlik Snodgrass, 77, of Center Point, died Friday, Oct. 6, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following surgery.
She was born May 10, 1940, in Cromwell, daughter of Anton and Elenora (Pashek) Havlik. She married Alan Snodgrass on June 18, 1960, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death in 2007.
JoAnn graduated from Sacred Heart School in Waterloo in 1958.
Survived by: two sons, Doug (Carol) of Center Point and Ken (Pat) of Switzerland; four grandchildren, Austin, Amanda, Allison and Chrissy; three sisters, Elsie (Jim) McElmeel of Waterloo, Helen (Don) Schmidt of Dike and Kathleen (Jerry) Hanson of Belleview, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Beverly Havlik of Ankeny; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: her parents; and three brothers, Michael, W. Joseph and Walter Havlik.
Prayer services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet guests at the church starting at 10:30 a.m. There will be a reception following the service at Biaggi’s. A private family inurnment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials: may be directed in her name to St. Pius X or the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
JoAnn was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed time with her family, gardening and traveling. Her memory will be treasured by many.
