JESUP – Jack W. Pence, 75, of Jesup, died Friday, Aug. 11, at his home.
He was born Jan. 22, 1942, in Gorin, Mo., son of Edward H. Pence and Elva L. Beard Pence. He married Patricia Davison on Oct. 25, 1964, in Keokuk. They later divorced. He married Marcia Gayle Newberry on Aug. 1, 1992, in Monticello, Ill. She died April 29, 2006.
He graduated from Gorin High School in 1960. Jack was a truck driver and worked for various trucking companies through the years.
Survived by: two daughters, Michelle (Jay) Frahm of Parks, Ariz., and Janna (Jeremy Benton) Ruwe of Oreana, Ill.; two sons, Chad (Robin) Pence of Midlothian, Texas, and Carl Dean (Julie) Davison of Carson City, Nev.; 11 grandchildren, Greg McLean, Jamie Collier, Carl Davison Jr., Caleb Davison, Wesley Watson, Carson Frahm, Jace Frahm, Ashley Pence, Jack Pence Jr., Alexandra Ruwe and Peyton Ruwe; three great-grandchildren, Austin Collier, Chloe Collier and Hunter Pence; a sister, Sharon Thomas of Keokuk; and a companion, Sheila Postel of Jesup.
Preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Marcia; a grandson, Garrett Frahm; a brother, Larry L. Pence; and a sister, Carol D. Pence.
Celebration of life: from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 19, at White Funeral Home, 1315 Main Street, Jesup.
