LINCOLN -- Holly Lynn Kerns Paradine, 34, of Lincoln, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 25, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
She was born Dec. 23, 1980, in Waterloo, daughter of Dennis and Lindy Finney Kerns.
Holly earned a bachelor's degree in sociology, and had worked for many years at The Western Home Communities Martin Center. In recent years she was employed at Sartori Memorial Hospital.
Survived by: three daughters, Natasha Paradine, Jasmine Ortman and Elizabeth Ortman, all at home; a son, Dustin Paradine at home; her father and stepmother, Dennis and Deborah Kerns of Wapello; her mother, Lindy Kerns of Waterloo; three brothers, Chad Finney and Michael Kerns, both of Waterloo, and Dennis (Audrey) Kerns of La Porte City; her maternal grandparents, Emery and Helen Finney of Waterloo; and paternal grandparents, Dean (Donna) Kerns of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: her paternal grandmother, Wilma Nelson.
Services: 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at River’s Edge Christian Church, 1247 Cedar Bend St., Waterloo, where visitation begins at 1 p.m. Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, Waterloo, is in charge of the arrangements.
