
Harold Arnold
WATERLOO -- Harold E. Arnold, 79, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, Nov. 23, at Westbrook Acres, Gladbrook.
He was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Toledo, son of Edward and Helen Chancy Arnold.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Arnold had been employed as a clerk for the Illinois Central Railroad from 1960 until 1983, then worked as a security guard for Hawkeye Community College until 1994.
Survived by: a daughter, Michelle Tucker of Waterloo; two sons, Craig (Robin) Arnold of Cedar Falls and Rodney (Robin) Toppin of Surprise, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, Jennifer and Joe Tucker, Adam and Jessica Arnold, Brandon and Ashley Toppin, Candice Butler, and Katie and Curtis Land; five great-grandchildren, Haley, Riley, Joey, Chloe and Madison; a sister, Shirley Miller of Brooklyn; and a brother, Don of Cedar Falls.
Preceded in death by: three brothers, Ray, Dale and Charles in infancy; and two sisters, Wanda and Alene.
Celebration of Life services: 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Waterloo Knights of Columbus Hall, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Arrangements by Locke Funeral Home.
