WATERLOO -- Dolorita M. Durnan, 98, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Friendship Village Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 16, 1919, in Fairbank, daughter of Charles and Veronica Durnan.

She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Fairbank in 1936 and attended Bayliss Business College in Dubuque.

Survived by: a sister, Veronica Cobb of Cedar Falls; and a large number of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: her parents; three sisters, Angela (Bill) Theisen, Frances (Laverne) Schmadeke and Sister Valeria; two brothers, Leo (Grace) Durnan and Joe Durnan; and a brother-in-law, Jack Cobb.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with inurnment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Fairbank at a later date. Visitation will be for an hour before the service.

Dodie loved to travel, attend concerts and the theater. She loved hearing stories from the many nieces and nephews and keeping up with their activities.
