WATERLOO - Father Darrell D. Rupiper OMI, 71, of Chicago, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines; services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Carroll; an additional service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, with burial in St. Henry's Cemetery, both in Belleville, Ill.; Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home, Carroll, (712) 792-3561, is in charge of arrangements; memorials to Missions of Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate or Community Supported Garden, Godfrey, Ill.; a sister, Maribeth (Joe) Arthur of Waterloo is a local survivor.

CHARLES CITY - Joseph Barrett, 76, of Charles City, died Thursday, Feb. 12, at Floyd County Medical Center, Charles City; services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hauser Funeral Home, (641) 228-2323, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, both in Charles City; visitation 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
