DENVER — Anya Rommel and Ryan Thurm were married in a 3:30 p.m. ceremony July 7 in Quincy, Ill., with a reception at the State Room in Quincy.
Parents of the couple are Dr. W. David Rommel and Pamela Rommel, both of Quincy, and Randy and Terrie Thurm of Denver.
Maid of honor was Dr. Jennae Rommel of Chicago, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Megan Smith of Denver, sister of the groom; and Brooke Harrison of Solon.
Best man was Joshua Heine of Chicago, and groomsmen were Brandon Smith of Denver, brother-in-law of the groom; and Kyle Anderson of North Liberty.
Ring bearer was Max Lansing, son of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Quincy High School and Dominican University in River Forest, Ill., with a BA in corporate communication and business administration. She is the wellness coordinator at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. The groom is a graduate of Denver High School and the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy with a doctorate in clinical pharmacy. He is an ER clinical pharmacist at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
They live in Quincy.
