WASHBURN -- Alton "Al" and Velma Horn will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an immediate family and close friends open house at their home at 220 First St., Washburn, by RSVP after June 14.
Alton Horn and Velma Jean Wilson were married June 14, 1958, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo.
Mr. Horn is retired from John Deere, and Mrs. Horn is a domestic engineer who supervised the Horn Roofing Co.
They have five children, one deceased (Jean Marie, 1960), Don and Alisa Horn of Inverness, Ill., Rosanne Wilson of Fort Dodge, Jim and DeAnn Horn of Grand Meadow, Minn., and Janet Horn Olson and Lori Horn, both of Waterloo.
They have six grandchildren, two deceased and nine great-grandchildren.
Close friends and neighbors are welcome to celebrate their time-tested love as the way their happiness and warmth overflow to family, friends and everyone who knows them.
Through their example of love, the world is a more loving place to be.
