WATERLOO — Mike and Marsha Fisher are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 25 with a Mass at St. John’s Catholic Church, Adel, and a family dinner at Hotel Pattee, Perry.
They were married Nov. 25, 1967, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ferndale, Wash.
Marsha is a retired teacher, and Mike retired from John Deere. They met while he was a staff sergeant in the USAF and she was a student at the University of Washington. They returned to Waterloo and lived there 45 years. They are planning a trip to California.
Their family includes four great children, Chris and Jane Curran of Clive, Jim and Katie Cook of Johnston, Rob Fisher of Adel and Joe and Jody Fisher of West Des Moines, and well as 10 wonderful grandchildren, CeCe, Grant, Marshall, Evan, Sam, Truman, Leo, Zeke, Archie and Frank.
