The 2019 series will kick off with the very talented Madison Ihde. Madison is a Senior at Luther College. She is a wonderful trumpet player and will perform with an ensemble of other talented Luther College students.

The Classics at Montauk Concert Series captures the spirit of parlor concerts that were fashionable in fine homes during the late 1800s to early 1900s. Musicians are accompanied on the 1916 Mason and Hamlin grand piano in the music room at the Montauk mansion, the home of former Iowa Governor William Larrabee and his wife, Anna.

There will be a short reception following the concert. This allows guests the chance to meet and talk with the musicians.

The concert series is sponsored by the Clermont Historical Society and the State Historical Society of Iowa, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs.
