CHRISTA THOMPSON, ChrisBro Hospitality general manager, has been selected by Hampton Inn by Hilton as a Hampton ambassador. The selection process for the honor includes only the highest performing general managers of the brand’s 2,000 Hampton Inns. This year, there will be only 63 ambassadors. Thompson has been with Hampton Inn by Hilton Waterloo since the doors opened in 2006.
KRIS HEYENGA joined the Hellman board of directors. Heyenga has 15 years of experience working for Hellman as an account manager and, more recently, as traffic manager.
TRAVIS TIDWELL, DPM, joined the Covenant Clinic Podiatry Office in Waterloo. Dr. Tidwell received his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from Des Moines University. He recently completed his podiatric clinical and surgical residency at Covenant Medical Center.
DARREN JOHNSON and AUTUMN HURLEY were promoted at RSM US LLP in the firm’s Waterloo office. Johnson is supervisor of assurance services, and Hurley is director of consulting services.
MARY ROSE SHELLEY joined the law firm of Dutton, Braun, Staack & Hellman PLC as an associate. Shelley, of Jefferson, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in economics and with highest honors from Drake University Law School.
STEPHANIE SAILER joined Sailer Law, PLLC as an associate attorney. Sailer, of Manchester, received her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Northern Iowa and her law degree from Drake University.
COLLEEN ZAK was promoted at Community Bank & Trust to account executive/teller supervisor of the Waterloo downtown office location. Zak has been with the bank for the past three years and has more than 12 years of banking experience.
JASON HERNANDEZ was promoted at Waterloo Fire Rescue to fire lieutenant. He was hired July 5, 2000, became a medical officer in 2004 and has been a paramedic for 19 years. He continued his education and became a fire engineer in October 2008. He was promoted July 10 to interim medical supervisor. He is currently acting in that position. He also serves as the team leader for the Tactical Paramedics Unit.
STACEY BENTLEY, president and CEO of Community Bank and Trust Co., Waterloo, was nominated as a candidate for the American Banker’s Association’s board of directors.
