The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team fell to 10-10 on the season as the Loyola Ramblers rallied in the closing minutes to force overtime and eventually got past the Panthers, 93-87.

UNI was led in scoring by junior point guard Deon Mitchell with 23 points. Mitchell scored all 23 of his points in the second half and overtime. Mitchell drained four 3-pointers in the final 25 minutes of action.

The Panthers (4-4 MVC) also got double-figure scoring from Seth Tuttle with 17 points. Nate Buss and Matt Bohannon also chipped in with 12 points for the Panthers.

UNI will be in action again on Jan. 29, 2014, back at home in the McLeod Center against the Evansville Purple Aces. The game will tip at 7 p.m.

NOTES: Matt Bohannon has made at least three 3-pointers in six consecutive games ... UNI committed only five turnovers, while forcing Loyola into 10 miscues ... UNI has made at least one 3-pointer in 449 consecutive games ... it was Mitchell's sixth career 20-point scoring game.
