Perreault was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (a “Yooper”). In the early 1970s she was active as one of the leaders in the feminist movement in Minnesota. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota, was assistant to the deans in the UM College of Liberal Arts, and then director of the Ethics Center at the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minn. In 1991 she joined the faculty of UNI and also took the role of director of Leadership Studies.
Perreault was chair of UNI’s ADP and has worked tirelessly to encourage community engagement in ethics, civil civic dialogue and the strengthening of democracy, and plans to continue such efforts.
For all of us who have been impacted by her work and who have enjoyed the programs she has helped craft and the speakers she has brought to the Cedar Valley, we wish to express our thanks and celebrate her professional contributions with a reception and refreshments. The reception is hosted by the many friends and colleagues who have worked with ADP during Dr. Perreault’s tenure.
