INSTITUTIONAL COOK JOb OPENINgS The State Training School (STS) at Eldora offers a holistic social, behavioral, psychiatric, academic, and Special Education program that utilizes counseling, treatment and consequences paired with praise and opportunity to males, ages 12 to 18 years old who have been adjudicated delinquent. Services and programs provide individualized treatment and offer comprehensive education, with a goal of transitioning the young man back to his community. The facility is operated by the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS). The program available for residents includes: • General education studies • Special education programs • Competency-based vocational programs • High School Equivalency Test or HiSet (formerly GED) • Title I • Counseling INSTITUTIONAL COOK Do you have full time experience in quantity food production in a commercial, military, hospital, or other institutional setting or have you successful completed a military, vocational, or community college program in commercial cooking? The State Training School for Boys located in Eldora, Iowa is seeking a cook with experience in an institutional or high volume setting. State employment has a truly exceptional benefit package fit for a deserving seasoned professional We require a 1 year minimum of full time experience in quantity food production in a commercial, military, hospital, or other institutional setting. Or, as an alternate, the successful completion of a military, vocational, or community college program in commercial cooking. Salary: $27,560.00 - $39,228.80 Annually. ($13.25 to $18.86 per hour) and a truly exceptional benefit package fit for a deserving seasoned professional.
