COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Spencer Lee posted the biggest victory of his young career, but it wasn't enough to propel Iowa to a win Sunday as the fourth-ranked Hawkeyes fell to No. 2 Ohio State 22-12 in a Big Ten Conference wrestling dual.
Lee, ranked sixth, upset No. 1 Nathan Tomasello 3-2 in the opening 125-pound match. Brandon Sorensen, Michael Kemerer and Alex Marinelli also won decisions to give Iowa (9-1, 4-1) a 12-7 lead after six matches.
The Buckeyes (10-0, 5-0) closed the meet with wins from No. 3 Bo Jordan, No. 2 Myles Martin and top-ranked Kollin Moore and Kyle Snyder. Moore won a key match over No. 6 Cash Wilcke of Iowa, 6-3.
