FARGO, N.D. -- Marcus Harrington delivered a major decision in the final match to lift Iowa State to a 21-20 Big 12 Conference wrestling win at North Dakota State Friday night.
After falling behind 20-3, the Cyclones won the final five matches. Brady Jennings and Daniel Bush wonh decisions and Dane Pestano added a 19-5 major at 184 pounds to start the rally.
Samuel Colbray then set the stage for Harrington by pulling out a 5-3 victory in sudden victory at 197 pounds, and Harrington delivered the win with his 10-2 major at 285 pounds. The dual was tied 20-20 after Harrington's victory, but Iowa State won the first tiebreaker criteria with the most match wins.
Iowa State squared its overall record at 7-7 and is 2-4 in the Big 12. North Dakota State fell to 6-9 and 0-6.
