OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha’s Filip Suchy scored in the final seconds of a power-play situation in overtime to deal Waterloo a 3-2 United States Hockey League setback Friday night.

The Black Hawks rallied to force the extra period when Jack Drury scored shorthanded during the same penalty with 28 seconds left in regulation.

There were 52 seconds of the man advantage left for Omaha in overtime, and Suchy ended it just :34 in with his third goal of the night.

The loss ended a four-game winning streak for Waterloo (15-9-2-1), while the Lancers improved to 9-1-1 over their last 11 games. They haven’t allowed more than three goals in a game during that stretch, and the Black Hawks were responsible for the only blemish with a 3-0 victory Dec. 28 in Omaha.

Friday’s game saw Omaha lead 1-0 after the first period. Drury tied it at the 13:08 mark of the second, but Suchy got the lead back for the Lancers at the 14:55 mark before Drury’s second goal in the final seconds tied it again at 2-2.
