FARGO, N.D. — Waterloo was unable to beat Fargo goaltender Strauss Mann Friday as the Force pinned a 4-0 United States Hockey League loss on the Black Hawks.

It was the fifth win of the season over Waterloo for Fargo, which leads the USHL’s Western Conference with a 16-6-1-1 record. Waterloo fell to 11-9-1.1

Friday’s game was scoreless until the Force took a 1-0 lead midway through the second period. Waterloo owned a 21-11 advantage in shots on goal through the first two periods.

Fargo added a power play goal early in the third and made it 3-0 at the 10:17 mark. An empty-net goal capped the scoring.
